SS 2 Lindsay Dyer’s Bay – Annie Lang Teacher 1910

Lois Bradley writes: Dyer’s Bay School. My grandmother, Annie May Lang, taught there for 2 years starting in the fall of 1910. She had just graduated from Chesley High School and was recruited by the school inspector, Mr. McCool. She went from Chesley to Wiarton by train, took a stage coach to Lion’s Head, stayed overnight and took another stage coach to Dyer’s Bay. She only got home to Scone at Christmas and Easter. She boarded with a family by the name of Matheson.
